When choosing a font that is going to work well its important to keep in mind the following:

Website Theme

What is the overall theme of your site? Knowing the over-arching subject will help you in choosing a font that is going to fit.

Font Size

How big is the text going to be? This can play a large factor in how the text is read and it’s highlighted importance.

Colour

The colour of the font will affect how the text feels. Ruby red writing is going to have punch and a sense of danger about it. Purple text is traditionally chic and subversively feminine.
